- What is suspension data acquisition?
- Suspension data acquisition is the measurement of how a vehicle's suspension actually moves while you ride. Sensors record the position of the suspension continuously, and software reads that recording back as travel used, where the suspension ran out, and where it spent most of its time. It replaces a rider's memory of a run with a record of it.
- How fast does BYB Telemetry sample?
- 1000 Hz — one thousand readings per second, per channel. A suspension can move through its full travel and back in well under a second on a hard hit, so a slower rate reports an average of an event rather than the event.
- How long does it take to fit?
- Typically under 15 minutes. The mounts are universal, nothing is drilled, and the unit calibrates its own zero while you ride rather than on a stand.
- What is a BYB Point?
- A BYB Point is an independent suspension workshop that owns the hardware and offers measurement as a service. There are +189 of them across +37 countries. Each one sets its own price and takes its own bookings — BYB Tech does not stand between a rider and the workshop.
- Do I have to buy the hardware to benefit from it?
- No. A Dynamic Fit at a BYB Point gives you the measurement and the settings without buying anything. Riders who want to keep measuring across a season buy the system; riders who want their bike set up correctly book a session.
